Marks, damage or wear: very minor signs of stirrup leather wear ( owner purchased from new) manufactured in 2017. Well cared for, one small scruff near pommel see photos. No other major scruffs or scratches to report.

This saddle is in good condition with a few wear marks. The saddle has had the tree, girth straps and stitching checked which is all in good condition.

South Australian residents can book an appointment with our accredited saddler fitter “CMF saddle fit”. * any alterations ( ie gullet changes, flocking etc) will forfeit the 7 day trial refund offer.
We offer 'Gullet Changes' by request. If you require a different "easy change gullet" in a saddle for sale by Saddle Co Australia - please email us stating which size you are after.
There is an $65 gullet change fee that will be added on top of the sale price to cover the price of the gullet. If a saddle is returned during the trial period, there is a $25 gullet change admin fee taken out of the gullet charge, to cover our time to install the gullet and when saddle is returned un-install the gullet and replace the original gullet.
How does the 7 day trial work? Especially for those who are not in South Australia?
To take a saddle on a trial the Purchaser must pay full cost of saddle prior to the saddle being released.
What you need to know:
- Firstly, we highly recommend you consult with your saddle fitter first. Sometimes they can suggest certain brands that may suit your horses back the best.
- We suggest you to book an appointment with your accredited saddle fitter before purchasing to ensure your appointment is made within the 7 Day Trial Period. There is a strict 7 day period, there is no leniency.
- Purchase the saddle via our website.
- We will promptly post your saddle and provide you a tracking number. Or if you are local to our shop - you may collect from us.
- Your 7 day period will start the day the postal company states your item has been “delivered” all saddles will be posted with sent with “signature on delivery” to ensure there is no disputes. Or the day you collect from us in store.
- Once received, the saddle is 100% your responsibility- any damages or excessive wear while the saddle is in your care will be deducted from your refund.
- Ensure the saddle is kept indoors and kept clean.
- Promptly email us within the 7 day trial period to saddlecoaustralia@hotmail.com with subheading “Return saddle” and in the description please state the details of your saddle and the reasoning why it was not suitable.
- We will email you back a return form to fill out
- Return postage cost to us will be at “your” expense. Or if you collected from our premises, you must return to the same premise of collection. Sorry we do not “pick up or collect” saddles from you.
- Postage costs to you is also not refundable and will be deducted from your refund.
- Please ensure by all means that the saddle you are purchasing is something that should fit yourself and your horse. As postage is a costly exercise and unfortunately we cannot refund those costs.
- Once the saddle has returned to Saddle Co Australia, the saddle will be assessed and refund will be sent to you within 48 hours. *if there is damage that needs to be accessed further, this may alter the time frame but you will be informed.
Saddle reports and documentation:
All saddles sold will be excessively photographed and an detailed report will be done prior to the saddle is boxed up to post. Or collected from store.
Any damage, scratches or marks will be documented on the product description listed on the product listing. So buyer/purchaser is aware.
It is the responsibility of the 'Purchaser' to check the saddle upon receiving to ensure it matches our reports and the purchasers standards. Any new damage, such as damage via postage, 'Purchaser' MUST promptly inform SADDLE CO AUSTRALIA within 7 days (before trial period ends). Any damages found after 7 days are not the responsibility of SADDLE CO AUSTRALIA and no liability will be made by SADDLE CO AUSTRALIA.
SADDLE CO AUSTRALIA insures all Saddles that have been posted via Australia Post. In order to claim insurance of any damages, claims need to be made within a month of 'delivered' parcels and have full photo documentation of postage box, saddle and where damage has occurred. Claims with Australia Post may take up to 2 months, please be patient.
As secondhand saddles do generally have some signs of general wear - so we do this to make sure any disputes are fair and within reason.
Refunds for saddles will not be made on the spot of saddle returns. The saddle MUST under-go an inspection to obtain a clearance before refund is processed - generally carried out within 48 hours of saddle returns.
